DC11 Dining Chair from Miyazaki Chair. The latest addition to the DC family (other products in the family can be seen below) which stands for Dining Chair showcases the highest level of craftmanship. Demonstrating the most precise joinery skills where the back and arm have been fixed together whilst maintaining the curved form which requires the greatest skills. The papercord seat and backrest have been handweaved with each cord on the back being cut to the exact length to ensure consistency throughout the backrest. The aim was to have joints where two rounded shapes meet, like that of human bones. A perfect example of high level design with a Danish aesthetic and Japanese manufacturing processes.
